Made up a quick trans tunnel,rebuilt and put new cables on the heater and got the torque converter fitted so dropped the engine back in.
Started re-assembly and plan to get the cab bolted down before xmas.
Lookin good, Englishbob! How's the exhaust clearance with that steering box? You gonna run headers or manifolds? Keep up the good work, before you know it, you'll have it on the road.

one thing that may help, plastic drain plumbing fittings..
I'm not sure with the older trucks, but in my 57' I put a 429 in it with a C6 and I actually bought longtube headers for the late 80's early 90's Ford trucks with the 460 and they fit surprisingly well I only had to massage one tube from hitting the frame on the passenger side... note this was on a stock style but lowered front suspension and stock steering
Got the shifter in and all connected and tried a Hurst boot I had.
Heater in,connected and ready.
Ran the battery cables,fitted the starter,picked up the alternator and power steering pump.
Bought a pice of 1" round steel,turned part of it down to 3/4" and then tried the 'Mill' to double D both ends for a steering column extension.
I'm sure the real machinists would cringe but it's my first attempt and it will work.
