i know a lot of you use tractors so here is a pic of the forks i made for our tractor. they are fully adjustable and cost less than $150 and 3 hours to make. and they will hold more than the tractor can pick up, i picked up a 1200lbs water tank and a 1991 toyota truck with no problems.
Those look great!
Get a can of paint and no one will know they aren't factory!
Do you plan on leaving them on long?? I'm assuming you have a bucket for the loader?? Now you'll have to work on a quick-attach for it, so you can switch back and forth easier. I love it on our loader tractor and skid steer. The skid steer has hydraulic locks, so I don't even have to climb out of the seat; thought it would be a luxury, but I switch between bucket, forks, bale spear and grapple bucket often enough I don't think I could do without it! I wish my tractor loader had it, it's a long ways to the front of the loader to unlock the bucket from the cab....
You'll love having a set of forks for it, they'll probably be on the loader more and get used more than the bucket.
i could not come up with a way to make the bucket and fork be quick-connect. Massey tractors dont sell just a fork they sell the entire loader quick-connect, so i had to make it like the bucket. it only takes 10 to change not to bad. and we have been using the bucket like forks so i think they will stay on for now.
would like to see some measurements, stock used, etc for them...i could really use a set for my tractor...appreciate any help. by the way...they look great
1 the bars are 3/4*4*61
2 the plates are 3/8*6*16
3 the plates that the pins go though are 3/8*~5*16 they are cut at and angle at the bottom to keep them for hitting, as same as the stock bucket
4 there are some 1 1/2*1/2*37 that are welded on the back of the main bars to give them support.
you can just make it the same as your tractors width on the loader. i think mine was ~37 1/4
the forks i got from a scrap yard, i just pay a little over scrap price to get them. and the rest i can get for 0.10 a pound for where i had worked. hope this will help. i could not send pics on pm so here it is.
