I am trying to track down a set of F.E engine motor mounts for a 4x4 f100. I have found out that there is a 68 or 69 in a junkyard not far from me, but the junkyard says only things that can be un-bolted can be bought. Do any of you know if the motor mounts would be riveted or bolted on? On my f100 with the inline 300 the mounts are bolted on so I didnt know if this was the case for most of the trucks. If you can shed any light that would be appreciated. Or if they are riveted would you know of any good junkyards in MN that would have these years of trucks?
Are you seeking the motor mounts or frame perches, either way in both my 69 f100 and my 76 f250 the engine bolts to the motor mounts, the motor mounts have a stud that is cast into the rubber that attaches to the frame perch with one nut, and the frame perches attached with nuts and bolts.
I have a torn down 67 4x4 F250 frame out in my back yard as we type. The perches are bolted on. They could have been replaced once for all I know but this one has bolts.
I am assuming that I am meaning the frame perches. I need the part that bolts to the frame that will reach the engine. Well 4x4jedi, we could work something out if you want. I dont know how the PM thing works but if you email me I will get back to you.
Jay, your F-250 (260) has a 240/300 in it now, IIRC from a previous post. If IIRC also from a previous post from ND and checking my own 70 250 (262) CC, all you have to do is slide the perches back one bolt hole to align for the FE engine. They only had two engines basically: FE and Big 6 so it would make sense to have only one part to use. My CC has one empty set of bolts available upfront which would be for the 6. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-f150-4x4.html
