96' escort losing acceleration.
Hi
I'm having some trouble with my escort. It's a 96, 1.9. Several times a day
I lose power, and can't accelerate. The car just goes into idle, and I can't get it
to start accelerating again for about 20 seconds usually. It happens more often when I'm below 1/4 tank of fuel, but it happens sometimes even on a full tank.
When I try to accelerate, it just sputters then everything starts working again. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm not the best with cars, and I'm just learning how to do all this myself, so
any help would be most appreciated.
