I just bought a 03 f-250 lifted and since I was considering putting in a slide in camper I thought it might be best to get the suspension back to stock height. I noticed that the brake hoses that used to be bolted near the front shock is now just zip tied in place, not a fan. What is usually done for a lift? If I decide to keep the lift, how do you secure the hose brackets? Do I need to fabricate a bracket?
Thanks,
T
Yes, you can fab a new bracket but Id bet most lifted trucks (especially trucks someone paid a shop to lift) will have half *** zip ties holding the brake lines up. Point being...Id fix it if it were mine but it will probably be ok for as long as you own the truck.
I know it's lifted, but not sure by how much. The bumper is at 36". I do not know that much about it. It is in the shop now getting some oil leaks repaired. I counted the leaf's in the back and I think it was 7.
I think it was a 285-75-17. The truck is in the shop or I would look.
It looks like the stock aluminum wheels. It's a lariat. The current set up looks a bit funny because the tires and wheels are a bit small compared to the lift. I had a body lift on my jeep, so I am not familar with this lift.
If I recall, the front leaf's were counted 5 and the back 7.
copy image url, hit the "go advanced button" on the reply box and click the little mountain picture. a box will pop up, paste the link, or just type
AFAIK 16" was the largest rim size available for a 99-04 srw 250/350. 05 they got 17" and 06 they got 20s... I think, maybe.
Thats not to say I couldnt bolt on a set of factory SD 20s, 17s, 18s etc on my truck.
The easiest way is upload the pic to photobucket and then link it here, or email it to me and Ill do it. STGCountryboy312@aol.com Dan, this email address works for your wifes bewber pics also.
most of the lifts dont even come with a bracket so thats why they are zip tied in. but the bracket is easy to fab up. do a search to find what one looks like on google and copy
