grease on front rims

been noticing grease or what looks like it on my front rims. every week go to wash it and there they are . from 1-3 stripes on the outside of the rims, im going to assume its the axle seals? trucks an 2010 with 8000 miles. i hope this isnt the start of the ford curse!

Ford "curse"? What is that? I have never had grease on the wheels before that didn't come from driving through a construction area.

brother inlaw has 2000, nothing but problems with his frontend , from 3 sets of hubs , seals, ect.... thats what he calls it.

im gonna seals i had that same prob on my 69 stang and i replaced the seals and she was fixed! i know its two different rules but the same mechanic principle applies

more then likely axle seals. id get it checked out or replace them your self. the longer you go with less fluid more friction etc etc etc front axle will eventually lock up

haha, I just got that.

Check the boots on your tie rod ends.. if they're broken.. convince me to do a write up. I just changed them and took plenty of pictures...

got it back from dealer yesterday , dealer said and showed me that the front axle steering knuckle has a grease fitting on it and sometimes they over grease them . hope thats it. its the only grease fitting on the frontend.

I had a mysterioue greese mark on my 2001 F250 .....turned out it was the neverseize they put on the lug nuts ...came out for a while, pain in the a@@!
