been noticing grease or what looks like it on my front rims. every week go to wash it and there they are . from 1-3 stripes on the outside of the rims, im going to assume its the axle seals? trucks an 2010 with 8000 miles. i hope this isnt the start of the ford curse!
im gonna seals i had that same prob on my 69 stang and i replaced the seals and she was fixed! i know its two different rules but the same mechanic principle applies
more then likely axle seals. id get it checked out or replace them your self. the longer you go with less fluid more friction etc etc etc front axle will eventually lock up
got it back from dealer yesterday , dealer said and showed me that the front axle steering knuckle has a grease fitting on it and sometimes they over grease them . hope thats it. its the only grease fitting on the frontend.
I had a mysterioue greese mark on my 2001 F250 .....turned out it was the neverseize they put on the lug nuts ...came out for a while, pain in the a@@!
