Ball Joint Play

Does anyone know how much up and down play is allowable for a 2000 F350 2WD

Ball joints should be replaced when the amount of play or movement in the joint exceeds the maximum allowed by the vehicle manufacturer (I believe Current factory spec on ball joint play is 0.060" measured at the knuckle for either upper or lower joint), however I think this is a tad too much...lol. A loose ball joint can cause misalignment, uneven tire wear, sometimes a steering pull to one side, and/or suspension noise.

I have a 1/64 (.0125) on one side and even less on the other, that's up and down and 0 side to side. I'm thinking I'm going to pack the bearings and lube the caliper slide pins and call it good for a few more years .
