The worse problem(s) on a 300 inline 6

Do you remember what the thread pitch is for the tubes going into the head at each cylinder?

Spout removal
My 1995 f150 4.9 efi won't start with the spout removed but does with it in timing marks line up at 10deg before 0 runs good at idle but has no power do I need to remove the spout and retime it
