Not really all that rare. It's a good intake though. It's one of the best single carb factory intakes, almost equal to the CJ and Medium Riser in performance. There are a lot of aftermarket intakes that will outperform it and cost less though, $750 is steep.

Seems a little pricey for me. I just purchased a new Edelbrock Victor single plane manifold that was ported by K.C. and it was just under $700. I have a 428 PI intake, and did not want to sell it, but for $600 I might let it go.

On a 410hp motor the S code intake makes about the same peak tq (little less avg tq) as the PI, but the PI makes 45hp more than the S.
