Ok here we go again I just put new batteries, altenator, regulator, starter, and starter selenoid on my truck!! The problem is when its idling the regulator test bed but as soon as you run the rpms up to 1000 everything shows good. Any ideas on what the problem might be?
Check that the ground connections are all good around the regulator. I had the same problem and found that if the ground connections were corroded or loose, it would take higher RPMs to get any charge. Not just the battery connections, but the small connections around the regulator.
Belts, often overlooked, didnt see them on your replacement list. If not snugged or if worn out, they can cause what you said because they dont make solid contact until they spin faster or warm up
Edit, when this happens do the headlights dim? If not there may be a gauge issue.
