calling all tranny gurus
hey guys, 04 psd 5sp trq sft. My tranny keeps given me erratic shifts,sometimes drops out of od into dr, other times ill come to a stop and go to take off it won't go back into 1st.Ihave to put it into n then back into d to get it to go. Fluid and filter change bout 1000 miles ago,with SP fluid. Temp run at 205, any help would be great.

No this just started doing this about 2 wks ago. SP fluid was used. Yes 205 is tranny temp,had my computer plugged in with auto enginuity on it,not to familiar with how to use it or what parameters should be.

Are you running a tuner of any sort? Now or in the past? I would think a bad tft but the erratic shifting plus high temp. says major problem. Maybe Mark K. will come along and comment. He's the resident tranny engineer.

Bully Dogs are known for destoying Torque Shift trannies. I think you now have your answer. No backing up at this point.

one of my freinds lost a tranny to a bulley dog too
leave the bulley dog off switch to an SCT if you want to run a tunner
