I am wondering how hard it would be to put one of these in my 2000. Would it be wired for this somewhere? What would i need to add one. Are there specific years I need or will any work with different wiring/harnesses? Just a few questions. Have not seen any write-ups yet.
You have the option from Old bird to do the temp/compass or a much more feature one. I did the temp compass last month and went ahead and connected the wire to the headlight switch to dim the unit when the lights are on.. The multi feature one has a lot more wiring to be done and to me was not worth it...
It was not hard to install. I spent a good amount of time centering the template and getting the courage up to cut the head liner... Once that was done it was easy....
I got a Gentex autodimming rear view mirror kit of fleabay that has the compass and outside temp display on it. The kit included the temp sensor and was a pretty easy install.
