Air Cleaner Setup

So, I have a 78 F150 with a 400, and in an attempt to get a little cooler air to the intake in the summer, and warmer in the winter, I have come across an air cleaner assembly from a 74 Torino with a 400. I'm hoping it will work with my truck, but the thing is I've never seen these things hooked up before. I suppose I will have to get new tubing for the fresh air and the preheater, but where do they go? Does the fresh air tube just run to a hole in the radiator support, and the preheater just point down at the manifold? Are there brackets for these things? Also, I understand that there is a flap motor on the snorkel. Does the vacuum hose running to it go straight to manifold vacuum, or is there a switch in between? I appreciate the help.

Yes to all..lol. There should be a bracket that attaches to the passenger side exhaust manifold for the pre heat. The freash air port is under the battery tray on the passenger side. and yes its just manifold vacume to the vacume motor on the air cleaner.

Alright cool. Hopefully the preheater stove is not an essential part of this. I'll have to keep my eyes open at the yard, or fab something up. Thanks again.

Oh, looks like I'll be missing a few components lol. I'll definitely have make time for the junkyard this week. I definitely don't have the hard ducting that attaches to the radiator support. Any part of the stove or all the fancy vacuum valves and switches. I may just have to rig this thing for fresh air only. It doesn't get too cold down here anyway. And now that I think about it, that duct was in the bed of my truck when I bought it. I remember asking myself where this would go, and looking all under the dash, but I couldn't find a missing heater duct. Haha, that's probably the only thing I've thrown away from this truck and I could have used it. Everything else I kept and is just sitting in the garage. Figures.
