So in the fall all you have to do is to start the truck to get rid of the leaves. Canadian potatos are good also. What color are the potatos? My mom usually grows purple, red and white.
Kai I also have the 40 series flow masters on my 54 with the 2 1/2 exaust from the headers all the way back, if you like loud then you'll love these that's why my exaust goes back behind my rear wheels and at a 45 degree angle, mine are the new style 40 series which are a little bit quieter that the older style they use to sell, mine are about 2 years old, I think that when the exaust pipes heat up the metal will expand and make a good seal so just clamp it.
Originally posted by Kai .... OK, OK, ... 'fenders and George, ... I am with you. Will do as advised and if it won't hold I will give it a little weld.
... German potatos are good, too. Should I send you one ?
Just run a bead of weld around it like everyone and their brother does! Why complicate a simple thing like welding pipe together? Sheesh!!!
"Yeah, next thing you know he'll have a lift on the bed for dumping produce and a slow-moving vehicle sign on the back."

I believe Kai said something about painting a y-block valve cover emblem on his tailgate. That should suffice for a SMV sign.

Sorry, I got so busy trashing you I almost forgot about the other stuff. I like the Lokar stuff a lot. It's top shelf. We expect a thread on the Lokar shifter install. Title it something like your exhaust thread............ "I installed my Lokar shifter in 20 minutes, how come you guys are so slow at everything"
Space age transmission cooler lines, flat orange paint, tater bed racks, flowmasters. You're going to have to back up the truck and pick me back up soon. There will be no other truck quite like yours.

Did we just jump on Kai for asking a question just because the answer seems obvious??? HMMMMMMMMMM

Wouldn't a 289/302 emblem accomplish the thing?
All you need to do is put a V of reflective tape on the tailgate since the truck is orange. Now 'a furgy don't be 'a makin fun 'of someone's engine. But wouldn't you be the SMV since he will zoom by you with all that high tech space equipment. He could also bombard your truck with potatos.
Kai, I see a lifting bracket sticking up in the middle of the tranny but where is the shifter? That lifting bracket will work great with your engine leveler unit. You should be able to put the transmission in without even connecting it to the engine!
I LOVE the aerospace hoses and fittings. Just like the stuff we use on REAL airplanes at work! Getting a flight worthiness certificate for the rest of the truck might pose some problems, though.
As far as the SMV sign goes, it has nothing to do with having a y-block or 289/302 under the hood. It's simply a matter of not littering the road with potatos. Littering is a very serious crime. I've heard of vehicles that have had their front suspensions hideously mangled. Can you imagine trying to avoid a minefield of potatos on the highway without a straight front axle and leaf springs? I shudder at the thought.

Liar!!!! You're not sorry. It's times like this I feel the need to drive 1200 miles just to do a burnout in your driveway. Maybe I could call you and stuff my CELL phone up a flowmaster for you?
