by pass check engine light?

i just picked up a 95 f150 with a carbed 302. the truck was a 4.9L and has the harness wrapped up on the firewall by the master. is there anything i can do to make it turn off? im also contemplating just taking it out becuase its not really doing anything. other then that the trucks pretty sweet.

Take the bulb out or put a piece of electrical tape over the CEL.
