average temps needed

I have a 2000 v10 excursion 2wd and 4:30 rear gears. I am using a scan gauge II and wonderng about some things.
I believe I have it set up to monitor the RPM,TFT CHT,MPH,

What should the CHT temp be when running the A/C in 93Deg weather and towing?
Is this the best way to monitor the coolant temp?

I tow 32' TT and and have installed a 6.0 trans cooler. My hottest temp to date is 185. Does that sound ok with the 6.0 or should I be running cooler?

What are some tips for using the trip feature on the scan gauge II?

What is your TFT range?
My coolant runs 180-190 in the summer towing a 6,000 lb TT.

Run that trailer in some heavy stop-and-go traffic and you'll see tranny temps over 200°. Well, at least here in hot Mississippi I do. (It was 100° here today.)

You're fine up to about 220° on the tranny. Then you need to be finding a place to pull over.

I'd be more worried about the tranny temps than I would the CHT as long as they are fairly constant and not spiking up.

I was wrong its not CHT It is just WT (water temp) What temps should I see from the Water Temp Gauge? 200 or just over was the highest I saw on a 95degree day pulling with the A/C blasting and stop and go. Most of the time she was sitting around 190-195. does this seem normal?

As far as the TFT it usually is around 170-180 unless I am in stop and go and then it may go up to 185. This is on a 95 degree day with the air blasting and pulling a 8000+ lb TT for over an hour. If Im not pulling, the temps dont get that high, maybe 165 or so. Before when I had the stock v10 cooler in it I saw 200 on a 70 degree day. I cant imagine what that would be on a 100 degree day in stop and go. I can say the 6.0 cooler did make a pretty good differance in temps.

185°F is cool. There is nothing to worry about. You might get hotter if you trade that 32 inch trailer for a larger one, though....

Driving around today WITHOUT a trailer, my tranny fluid temps hit a high of 202°!!!

It was a brutal 101° outside though and that was stop and go traffic. Once out on the interstate, it dropped to about 190°.

Water temps were 190°-195° pretty much that whole time.
