Engines Skipping, No CEL
Ok I have a 1998 F250LD with a 5.4. It has a bad skip in it but will not turn the CEL on. Any ideas on how i can check which cylinder is misfiring without the CEL being on? PLease Help

Then you'll have to either upgrade or hire someone with the correct equipment.
Otherwise, find the particular driving condition that exhibits the symptom, then really hammer on that condition and see if the PCM will finally declare a misfire and set the MIL.
Are you certain your truck is an "LD" and not the "HD"? Have you checked the emissions compliance label under the hood to see if it's an OBD1 or an OBDII emissions system?
