Even if you spent $2200 on all 8 injectors (which is high unless you had a dealer do it) and you didn't sell it or wreck it, you're still out the cost of rev-x followed by the eventual injector replacement. I did the math based on the $200/injector DIY cost and the break even point is around 280,000 miles which means you have to get around 280,000mi out of your injectors with rev-x (adding rev-x from 150k-on) which is a real stretch, especially is stiction reared it's face at 150K. However, you're right in that if you add a bottle of Rev-X and it covers up the problem and then you drive it off a cliff two miles later than you saved yourself ~2000 but with that logic why bother doing any maintenance at all?
Ok let's break down the cost here based on my personnal annual miles of 25k.
Annual Cost of using Rev X: $175
Cost of new injectors: $1600 (using your 200/injector which sounds a little low to me.)
ROI on buying new injectors: 9 years
Summary:
I would have to run the new injectors for 9 years before I can recover my ROI instead of adding an oil additive and we all know that these injectors will probably not last that long.

Obviously we can keep throwing out random factors but if you run Rev-X year round it's much more effective to simply replace the injectors but if you only run it in the six cold months then it's more likely to extend your eventual replacement into a cost effective range but you're going to be praying to the injector gods for that extra 60k miles because if they go past the point where Rev-X will help them before that 60K point your ROI instantly becomes negative.
