For those few of us (probably just me ) please explain what Octanefest is. It already sounds like something I am going to regret not being there. I have to work weekends
I am doing well at the moment Donna. I was up early because I had to turn in my gear for the Army. Did not realize that they also want all the clothing items back.
I have a new to me carb scoop that I got off eBay for $50 shipped. When I get a chance I am going to do a mock up to see how it will look sticking out the hood of my truck. Time to raid the scrap metal pile and start getting the SC mounting built

It's a 3 day event at the 1/4 mile drag strip at Top Gun Raceway in Fallon, NV.
It's a step or 2 below the NHRA Drags at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (i think).
I believe they even have a category/event for locals (& wanna-be's like me) that want to see what their vehicle will do in the 1/4 mile w/o earning points.

I don't know what I want to do today....sit on my *** around the house & watch t.v., go 4x4ing, mudding?, clean out the horse stall again, or maybe I'll go paint. It's cold & gloomy out - maybe i'll just curl up in my electric blanket & read a book.
