Any of you guys seens those pivotrim trimmer heads? That looks like a fine product. Used to do commercial landscaping and would do a few miles worth of trimming every week, we used to through a good amount of line.

Looks like an easy way to mess stuff up that you're trying to trim around. I just started a job landscaping Monday and the only time I've really burnt up line was trimming against a lot of asphalt curb. A heavy line will put up with a lot.

We used the HD line, but we had a lot areas to trim besides the regular couple of miles worth of trimming each week. I usually Respooled my line for the trimmer head once every week nd a half or two weeks.

Yea I dunno... when they show it cutting thin sheet metal I think what would happen if you were working around something delicate like an air conditioner?

Haha, could you imagine explainin that to the boss? "Boss, I trimmed something that I shouldn't of." "More flowers?" "No, that old ladys AC!"
I think that they must of used a piece of 22 ga or thinner on the commercial.

Likely but either way... bad idea!
I like my boss though... first thing I was told was "There's nothing you can do that we haven't done before so if you mess up just tell me. And I don't want 5 minutes of excuses with it."

That's cool man. I think the worst thing I did was hit a stump that was in some tall grass with the 61" scag and it bent the caster. Mower still worked and turned fine but if you were cruisin full speed on pavement it would start to wobble pretty bad!
i fixed my sisters saab tonight, which is good because my mom has been borrowing our VW while the saab was down and it now has a check engine light. also, a small observation i made while working on the saab....the part that broke had this really familiar writing on it.
