For where I work as entry level the biggest thing is just a ged or high school diploma. I know the university will be posting some openings in my department in the very near future. We have a couple of empty officer spots. Dispatch is fully staffed. And more than likely it would be for either my shoft which is 4-midnight or the next shift which is midnight to 8 am.
My shift is probably the busiest. Midnight to 8 is busy until around 3 or 4 then it slows way down during th eschool yr. During the summer midnight to 8 is really slow.
