Bronco fuel tank swap

Hello everyone. I have a 95 F-150, truck in sig, and was wondering about up-grading my rear tank to the larger capacity 33 gallon Bronco fuel tank. The fuel pump is bad in the rear tank now, so I have to drop the tank anyways (or remove the bed). My question is, if I get the sending unit, pump, tank and straps, is it pretty much plug and play? I know that I won't have room for the spare tire anymore but I don't keep one under there anyways. I was thinking of some future plans of welding a bung into the gas tank to supply a generator that I have built into my camper and that is why I wanted the larger capacity. Has anyone done this conversion and if so, how did it work out for you? Thanks!

I did it on my dually in my sig but i cut 3 tanks an welded them together for almost 45g. Make sure you have the right connector for sending unit, bronco straps arent long enuff, the 150 straps arent long enuff. Make ur own, i have a mom & pop parts store near me that sells universal straps, i bought 3 sets for $50. Just remember to order everything for a bronco n that the plug an sending unit connection is the same

Thanks! Did they make a connector for the sending unit that was different between the F-150 and the Bronco? I think with the front tank, it will bring the capacity to 49 gallons if I go this route.

Alright, thanks for all your help. Does your sending unit still work correctly with the modified tank that you have?
