33 Gallon Bronco Tank In A F-150

OK, this is what I'm thinking. Can you smell the smoke? Anyway...

There was a discussion a week or so ago in the 1987 - 1996 F-Series Trucks Forums about swapping out the rear 19 gallon tank on a F-150 & replacing it with the Big Bronco tank.
This swap has entriqued me & I'm wanting to do it. Hell, I can always afford to carry an extra 14 gallons, ecpecially during the construction season.

This is what I need to know.
I definatly need the big Bronco tank & the straps, thats for sure.

But will my F-150 fuel pump & sending unit work or do I have to get the pump & sending unit out of the Bronco to make my fuel gauge read accurate?

Will the Bronco tank straps bolt up in the place of my F-150 tank straps were, same bolt holes?

The Bronco tank measurements are 31 7/8" X 22 1/4" X 15 3/4"

The F-150 tank measurements are 34 3/4" X 27" X 7 7/8"

You will need the sending unit for a 33 ga. bronco tank. You can buy a sending unit for an 88 bronco w/ 33ga. tank. It should plug into your f-150 with no problems.
The strappes might work fine, or you could just fab some up.
