390 FE starting woes...

I recently just did a complete top end on my truck (head gaskets, intake etc) now i cant get it to start. It was running beautifully before. Its getting fuel, i can see and smell it, its getting spark, tested the coil, tested the points which turn out to be good. Replaced cap and rotor, mageneto. I also cranked engine over to TDC and placed the dizzy in accordingly. I did a ton of searches on here and cant find anything. I am stumped!!

I would say ,an this is just a guess but I would say timing is off.

Yeah, fuel and spark but when are you getting that spark? I would suggest you verify you installed the distributor correctly. Pull the plugs, crank the engine by hand and make sure you come up on compression on # 1. I would guess you're180 out.

X2 I bet the timing is 180 out or wasn't set properly in the 1st place with #1 cylinder on TDC of the compression stroke.

BTW #1 cylinder is the front cylinder on the passenger side of the block.
