I know a hood scoop looks cooler...but what about hood vents? Anyone ever see them on our trucks? Im thinking about installing a set on my 79...also, where would be a good spot to mount them? I was thinking as close to over the exhaust manifolds as possible....
I'd be concerned about rain. I mean, if it had a rain tray and a drain it'd be okay. If not, ya might be sitting at the stop light with steam coming outta the vent slits. Steam is bad too... it'll condense on the underside of the hood and reach all them little places where corrosion can build.
I've got a couple of Mustangs and have been toying with the idea of grafting in a 67/68 hood skin with vents and integral turn signals.
On some website I saw a shop graft a partial hood skin from a 94/95 Mustang GT on a Dentside. The best I can describe is that hood had nostrils on each side of the hood bulge... It was subtle but looked trick.
