It would be doable if you used a small block c6 and a later 8ba type flathead .
Adapters are available , but a c6 behind a flathead is overkill .
C4 would be my choice , and i have just fitted one up to my flathead to put in my 46 coupe .
c-4 or aod . a small block c-6 is a rare animal and the bell housing on one of the big block ones would likely swallow the back half of yer flatty ....................... personally both mine have manual transmissions . just seems right .
An 8BA flathead, on a good day, is rated at an output of 100 hp. The horsepower loss through a C6 transmission is over 50. You do the math and tell me if this is a good idea.
Thanks Wayne you talked me right out of that idea. lol I'm new to these flatheads so yall bear with me OK. Hope all yall have a great weekend. I'm going to go stay afew days on the river. OMG its HOT IN FLORIDA.
