that is crazy. my wife's aunt lives about 50 miles East of Joplin, don't know how they weathered the storm as we haven't heard from her.
A friend's brother in law lost his brother in that tornado.
I have been in severe wind storms. As a kid in Nevada I remember 100+mph winds lasting for 6 hours. It sand blasted every window in town & stripped paint off of houses & vehicles. Piled up sand 4 feet deep in places. tore roofs off. It was a real scary deal. But it was nothing to what I see from Tornado's. I could never live in a place where that was or is a way of life. It is unbelievable the damage caused & lives lost.
