So i got my new camera right before sema and havnt had a good change to place with it... i am new to the SLR cameras... i had to choose from a Nikon D90 and a Canon T1i.. i ended up going with the Canon and im very happy with it....
here are some shots i took today messing around with the settings... this is with my 55-250mm lens with a UV filter.. a couple were with a polarized filter..
they didn't all come out like that... after i took the pics i took it into photoshop and messed around with the RGB levels and Gradients to achieve the finished products... here are some before and after pics
Digital cameras have made it so much easier to take great pictures and photoshop has made it so easy to make good pictures into great ones. But the best pictures I have ever taken have still been with my 40+ year old Konica 35mm that I bought used in 1984 for $100.
I'm kind of hoping an SLR finds its way under my tree this Christmas.
thanks bud.... i love this camera and hope to get much better at it... i do have some photoshop skills.. i have a degree in computer animation and did a whole lot of photoshop work in college
I generally take landscape/scenery photos and most of my editing is using the MS Photo Editor that came in XP. I've had some pretty good luck with that but I am usually just editing for brightness and some color enhancement.
Just a suggestion. Work with your aperture, a few of those photos look like they were originally over-exposed/blurry.
Looking good though, today's gen of DSLR's are great!
all those were taking in the P setting.. im just now learning to work in the setting that allows me to choose my own F stop which i think is aperture.... so lil by lil im learning
Nice pics Raul...keep working with it and you'll have a life long hobby. You might even be able to turn it into a part time job...that way you can afford more toys for your truck!!!
Nice pictures. I have always been a Nikon person, I bought my D70 and love it. However I do know a lot of people that have Canon's and love them.
i had been dead set on a Nikon D90 for about 6 months... but then i went and tried this canon and honestly i liked it better... its faster, better quality pictures and it was cheaper.... got it from costco with both lenses, bag, 4gig SD, and 100 free prints for $849.95.. i wouldnt be able to touch that if i got a D90.. same stuff would of been in the 1500.00 range
