Icp sensor what it does do?
Well it 2000 f350 diesel with 210K miles
I replaced Icp with 1998 Int truck. Only I notice little smoother at idle but can't say.
Now there randomly blue smoke come on when there load. It start smoke at 2K rpm and 10-15 seconds it stop and will rev no smoke.
engine light keep say p1284 icp low cirult.

The ICP reads the oil pressure in your HPOP oil system, sending the pressure readings to the PCM, which adjusts the Pressure in the HPO system. (For your Oil Fired Injecors. )
To test to see if its a bad ICP, just disconnect the plug and drive it... if the symptoms go away.... Bad ICP.

Tried that I can't say if it run better or not.
How you test ICP sensor? Ford dealer here want $177 with tax
I went junkyard there ICP sensor come out 1998 Int same engine. No oil in ICP sensor so I swap between mine that not work.
My AE scanner read 0.2 volts with ICP and without ICP it 0

Old one that came with F350 was leak oil
One come from 1998 International in junkyard it 7.3L I look icp it clean no oil so I thought it will work so i swap and haven't notice difference and keep get P1280.
