front left wheel doesn't turn in 4wd

I was in my truck yesterday and hit the gas in 4H with the hubs locked and noticed that my front left wheel wasn't turning. I thought that my transfer case wasn't going into the 4H and 4L gears so I put it up on blocks and put it in 4H again and it turns out that just the front left wheel isn't turning... I know it's got to be something in the axle (dana 60) because the u-joint that bolts onto the hub does not turn either so the hub is locking properly.

When its in 4wd there is a really low and quiet rumbling sound that comes from inside the axle (not grinding) and the wheel turns very slowly compared to the other three. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be wrong? The right front tire works no problem and doesn't slip at all.

Are you sure its not just your open front diff confusing you? Lock both front hubs leave the truck in 2 wheel drive and jack up the left wheel. Spin the wheel in the air by hand and if your driveline spines then there's nothing wrong. With an open diff the power goes to the wheel with least resistance

4x4 isn't literally 4WD (unless you have lockers front and rear), there's nothing wrong with your front axle (assuming it's an open diff).

Yea it turns out it was an open diff, just bought the truck recently and it has a locked diff in the back so I wasn't sure...
Thanks! thought I might have had to spend money.
