sputering
i have an 07 ford f 150 5,4 liter. at speeds between 45 and 55 it has like a sputtering and jerking loss of power. I had a computer hooked up to it and it said fuel pump replaced it but it is still doing it does anyone know what this might be. thank you

Hey man Im having the same problem...... so if you hear anything could you let me know.... I have a 2007 F-150, 5.4. I had my fuel pump replace: $650, and a fuel rail sensor replaced: $110, and i still cant figure out the problem.
Fixed
Jaybird,
I had my truck fixed by the dealership. I knew is was going to be expensive, but I was tired of running around the problems. Come to find out when I had my fuel pump replaced, the idiot that changed it out grounded out the wire to my trailer hitch ground. So all in all my fuel pump was continuosly running at about 85%, instead of changing when at idle, park, and driving. So far I haven't had any problems, they also said my #3 coil was going out, so they replaced that. Total cost was $330 for labor and $110 for the coil. I hope this helps, Chris
