Rather than hijacking an existing thread, I'll start a new one on fuel pump relay location.
I saw this cluster of relays near the driver's side fender. 2 small ones with blue look identical, and one large one. Is the small one closest to the fender (right side in photo) the fuel pump relay?
The relay I bought from Napa for the fuel pump looks like one of the 2 small ones, not the big square one with the red base.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Owner's manual didn't say what these were. Thanks.

I would not have considered it a "hijack" if you wanted to pursue this question in my thread.
In fact, I have just discovered...that the relays pictured are NOT used for the Fuel Pump (at least on a 2002 F250). I am going to have to go back and revise/edit my posts.
I am in the process of tracing the wiring from the pump all the way back along the circuit and will let you know where it ends up.
The wire in question is a Pink W/Blk Stripe. So far, I have followed it from the pump, along the frame rail, then up through the door quarter panel, across the floor pan (under the seat), to the intertia switch (under pass. kick panel).
From there it goes up into the dash toward radio.
I am getting ready to pull the radio and see where it ends up.
Meanwhile...I came across this interesting thread, that suggests it might INDEED be part of the circuit board that is in itself...part of the fuse panel. SHEEEEEESH!
Fuel pump relay is in battery junction box in engine compartment. The pump speed relay isn't readily serviceable as it is in PCM (computer)
It depends on the year and engine configuration as to the location of the FP relay. There are multiple variations and you have know specifically what is being worked on. What applies to your specific truck may or may not apply to another. Excursions are different from pickups, for example.
There is no FP speed relay in the PCM (or anywhere else, for that matter) in your truck, a gasser. Your FP relay, according to the factory service manual, is in the instrument panel relay block, same as in the above referenced thread.
My old 04 F250 did that so instead of buying a new fuse panel or circuit board where the relay is located I bypassed that one and just put an external relay under my Dash

Larry, my name is Mike. I believe that my 04 f250 5.4L fuel pump relay is causing the truck to stall and run rough. I have already put in a new fuel pump just changed the fuel filter again yesterday. I also had 2 evap lines that were broken that I just replaced. Now by doing all these things the fuel pump relay has to be why It is still running rough and stalling. Can you please explain how you bypassed the soldered fuel pump relay thats behind the green control board? How do I do what you did? Please and thank you.

I have found this YouTube video and it has helped others. Take a look. Good luck.
Larry, was hoping i could pick your brain again if you wouldn't mind. So I am wondering if 2004 f250's with diesel motors have the same fuse box as my 5.4L gas motor? I ask because in the manual the fuse diagram/ list of fuses say for certain fuse descriptions "for diesel engines only" which tells me it may be the same box? Im asking bc I am having a hard time sourcing an exact fuse box from a 5.4L 04 locally. Of they are the same then I can broaden my search. Any chance you know this?
