1986 F150 Fuel Pump Relay Location

Dang, I had an '86 bronco and the fuel pump relay was on the driver side fender. However, I can't find the one for my '86 F150. Anyone know where ford stuck this thing? Thanks.

Are you sure it doesn't have a mechanical fuel pump? My 84 I-6, does.

100% sure. I have EFI. My fuel pump won't shut off. I believe the relay is either stuck or has grounded out somewhere along the way.

According to hayes manual the relay box is mounted in the engine compartment against the left side fender apron. On lid it should tell you which relay you need.

For my 85 it is between my brake fluid reservoir and the driver's fender on the firewall. You have to pull it out of it's "holder"

86 F 150 sat for years

Me and my dad were trying to start his old 86 F 150 a while back. We put starter fluid in it and it turned over. I put it in drive and it moved a foot then acted like it wasn't getting gas. I'm new to this and I just really need some help so I can get this thing running any idea?

John, Welcome to FTE.
First we need a little more information.
We know it is a 86 and a F150
Motor size? is it stock or any mods done to it?
1 fuel tank or 2? If 2 what happens when you flip the switch?
Did you drain all the old gas out of the tank(s) first before trying to start the truck?
Why was the truck parked for so long?

Let try that for a start and then we can move on to checking things like spark, fuel PSI etc.
