A4LD identification
Hi Everyone,
I am in the midst of doing a transmition oil change on a newly aquired 93 aerostar 3.0 A4LD. I dropped the transmition pan and have tried to see if there were any signs of previous work?
The pan gasket cork had aluminum spacers by the bolt locations, 2 per. Looks like they stopped a person from overtightening the gasket. Does anyone know if this was the original gasket ford used?
as well, the filter was a Ford filter D15ZA 87GT7A098AA. I phoned the local Ford shop to see if the 98 in the later number was the year mfg. of the filter. To my surprize they did not have either one of these numbers in there system.
Can anyone help if these were original ford parts?
