Sounds like a nice setup. What gears did you go with?

Nothing that I see on the list that would hold it up that I know of. The three things I knew of that may hold one up was nav, tuxedo black or royal red. you don't have any of them. She's going to be a nice truck.

ordered truck 4/11

Well, called Ford again today with no new answers. Looks like they aren't going to be building me a truck. I am going into 8 weeks now and my order is still in processing and no one can give me any information about it on when it will be built. looks like as of next monday if nothing happens before then to let me know what's what with this, I will be buying a gm instead and cancel out my order. I can't be waiting on ford forever to give me some information on the truck i ordered. 8 weeks time should be enough to get this truck being build on the assembly line. I am so sorry i ever decided to order this truck now. i cannot get any information from my dealer either. I will give it a few more days before pulling the plug to see if any information will become available. I wish i would have known thesee probllems with long waits before ordering one. my dealer told me 6-8 weeks for it to be here.

Had your dealer been straight up with you about their allocation (or lack thereof), you could've taken your business to another dealer. Maybe try another dealer and see if they can help with a new order? They shouldn't require a deposit on the order.

Hate to see you go to GM but I understand your frustration.

well, finally got some kind of answer from Ford. My ordered truck was due at the dealer this coming monday. the answer was that my truck would be built the 27th of this month(3 weeks later than the delivery promised). that is to say if the date doesn't get set back into july or something. Then there is the amount of time for shipping and such afterward. this is not looking good that my dealer did not update me on this. ford said the problem was that I ordered all terrain tires and i guess they are not in stock. I would have changed this fast if i would have been contacted about it. Or went to whatever size they had in stock so my truck could be built. I now have to take the weekend and decide if all of this is worth it or not . I am not used to dealing this way. why no one contacted me about this is beyond me. I am getting more upset by the minute thinking about my experience with ordering a ford f250. I thank all of you for trying to be of help to me with this dilemma. i just don't know what i am going to do now. I'll take the weekend and decide

Someone sure dropped the ball. I would put it on the dealer for not staying on top of it and asking questions when a serial # was not received when expected. It is a sign that something is holding up the order and the order may need to be modified. Sorry it turned out like this for you.
