I'm changing my struts on my 06 and bought monroe quick struts complete with springs and bearing so they are plug and play does anyone know the torque value for the 4 bolts at top and the 2 that hold the strut to the knuckle.... any help would be appreciated and is there any quirks i have to know before i start .... Thanks

well i changed the struts and bottom line i tightened the bottom knuckle bolts with a 3/4 drive till they were tight as hell and tightened the top bearing bolts with a 3/8 drive till they were tight as hell so im hoping that was correct torque specs also used anti seize on bottom knuckle bolts and the moog sway bar links which are new so....... I took her for a spin and well what a difference smooth ride and braking seems better but maybe that part is my wishful thinking and my old struts had no leaking oil,no visible defects but after 115000 miles they had to be weak. On a side note i got the complete monroe quick strut at advance online for 107.00 each which were listed at 157.00 each. They gave me 50.00 off each one since they had a coupon on line that if you spent 100.00 you got a coupon for 50.00 off next order and since i ordered both at one time the guy in customer service gave me 50.00 off each kudos for advance auto parts for sure.......................... Still want to know if tight as hell is the OK torque spec

From the 2010 shop manual:

Strut upper bushing nuts (4) = 35 ft. lbs.
Strut to knuckle bolts and nuts (2) = 85 ft. lbs.

At least in 2010, camber/caster is set by the 4 possible positions of the strut upper bushing. The bushing mount has an offset from the centerline of the strut rod. With 4 studs, that gives 4 different positions to orient the mount.

I dont think that was an accepted option in 2006 as strut has arrows to show direction of install

Unless your aftermarket parts are made differently than the originals, then yes, the same thing applies to your year.
