its started about 2 weeks ago running very rich and idling very rough on my way to work, on my way home (10 miles) it used almost a 1/4 tank of fuel. i tryed pullin the codes but the reader just says no link, iv replaced the plugs, wires, dis cap, fuel pressure control moduel, ignition control moduel, fuel pump relay, and the pump in the front tank. then i realized that the fuel pumps are not ever shutting off even with the key on motor off they will continuesly run. then i realized that while he truck is running i i switch to the rear tank (its compleatly empty) it will run just like normal untill it starts starving for fuel so i can switch back to the front it will start running rich again.
a friend said it was most likely the computer, but i wanted to get someones opinion before i replace that, so anyone have any ideas
I think if the computer was bad you wouldn't be able to drive it normally, rich or not. I would recommend double checking everything you already did and maybe unhook the computer and wait a bit then plug it back in.
I had a problem with the fuel pump running after I shut-off the truck. I smacked the Fuel Pump Relay, not too hard. It stopped, so I figure the relay was stuck.
ok so i just put the new computer in and there is no change its still running the same, when i first turned the key on the fuel pump ran 2-3 seconds cut off i fired the truck up it ran great for about a min then it bogged down and is right back to doing the exact same thing, fuel pumps are still not shutting off!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
