will 35's fit?

I have a 2003 f250.. stock with the snow plow package..
I have a chance to get some nice rims with 35's on them for cheap.
My question is will 35's fit on my truck without a lift? I don't think they will..but I have some people tellin me they will..
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

An old buddy of mine ran I believe 295's and when he was at full turn the tire would harshly hit the leaf springs

I have 35x12.50x16.5 BFG AT's on my 2002 F350, and I do not have the snowplow pkg (even though I have a plow) but I did add a 2.5" mini-spring-pack. I also still had to trim the rear plastic inner fender, as it would kiss the tires on turning. WIth some generous trimming, the $125 mini-spring-pack everything works great, even with a cab-over camper loaded up.

Good Luck with your truck!

It mostly depends on the width and backspacing of the rims you are using. I wouldn't do it without at least a leveling kit, and even then it will probably still rub on the leafs

Here's the best answer...it depends on the truck.

I've seen a stock Excursion 4x4 with 315/75/16s on stock wheels that the guy claims up and down didn't rub. I don't know. I also know that my 35x12.50x17s will just kiss the front valance under articulation when off road. I have done no trimming to any plastic. Like I said...it depends. Will you be off road with the truck? If so...you may have some rubbing. I ran 285/75/16s on stock wheels at stock height for years with no rubbing at all.

Some trucks have different spring sag than others, but it mostly depends on the wheel offset, or width and backspace. Near stock offset (+6mm) and out to about 0 or -6mm you should be fine. Going more negative, to a -25mm or so, will make it contact the fender or bumper valence at full lock. The further the wheels stick out, the more front-to-back clearance issues you will have when turning.

Yep. And my front springs have turned into a nice rainbow shape.

285/75/16 is roughly 33" and a 35" is well...a 35".

Width and backspacing are the issue, I managed a shop that installed many lifts, and wheels and tires, and have also seen 315s on stock wheels fit, but 333315s on 16x10 4" backspace rubbed on my 04 4x4 with 4"lift (on the fendwe and bumper, not the spring). Acouple zip ties can be used to pull the plastic inner liner out of the way, and, some shims between the bumper and the frame horns can make a little more space.

my truck with a 4" lift still needed a slight trim to the lower front bumper valance to stop the 35"s rubbing the outside edge.

stock height on that vintage of truck theres no chance a 35" fit on any offset rim

Mine had 315/75r16s on it when I got it, stock height, -6mm offset wheels (stock is +6mm so they were moved out about 1/2"). The cleared, front and back, at full lock, but the rear cleared by less than 1/4".
