HELP! plz identify this part!

i am trying to find out if this is the steering column linkage or gearbox or........?

help! can't replace til i know.

Thats the steering column shifter. lol It bolts to the top of the column. It's very east to replace and put back on, just drop the column, should be held up by 2 screws, and then it really just bolts right on top.

Looks like the steering column shifter tube.

What on it are you trying to replace exactly? I had to replace my steering column plunger, that is held inside of that silver tube. LMC has the exact part name and such.
