ICP ??? slight surgeing

Okay put in new ICP last july, i noticed lately that come to a stop can feel slight surging ,look at scangauge and normal is always 641 or 1 or 2 up or down. But when it s surging i see 620 to 660 at hot idle, only done this twice now what in the hell could this mean, is ICP going again. starting to not like that little bitch of a sensor. peace out

No codes , ficm voltage have never checked it, although might be good time to program scangauge for ficm stuff.

As much as I hate to say it.....surging 03 usually indicates an ICP sensor. You might want to pull the IPR valve and check the screen while you're there. It may have some trash that's affecting operation also.

How hard are these to get too? Do you need to pull the turbo to get at the ICP or the IPR sensors?
I have been having surging issues but only when towing or loaded and at pulling hills. Nothing wrong at idle or flatland driving.

Thanks

The ICP on the non-2003's is a piece of cake, it's on the R.H. Valve cover. Now on the 2003, well.... not nearly as easy as it's under the turbo and hard to get to. I replaced mine a couple years back, and now that I know how to do it, I could probably do it < 30 minutes but still not fun. I haven't had to remove or replace the IPR but it was easy to see when the intake manifold is out. I suspect that the turbo would need to come out for that one but I really don't know.
