I understand that, but I don't think that justifies not communicating with customers

it would be one thing if this was a free reburn, but I paid for services back in march, and still have not recieved anything, im sure that Tony would not send out Chips to new customers, with out being paid upfront, and then be ok with waiting this long for his payment, and not having his emails and phone calls answered.

Well this is really starting to resemble fraudulent business practice, you can't take money for a service and then not provide the service, or provide no contact to explain the situation. I don't care what kind of personal problems are going on in his life, if you run a business you have the obligation to inform your customers of delays that may affect delivery of the service. I know he has a lot of faithful loyal customers and friends due to providing good service in the past, but it is not fair or ethical to treat new customers this way.
I am sensitive to his problem with his daughter and family, but some effort needs to be taken to inform his customers / future customers, his business will suffer from his lack of action. Members on this site who make promises for him and defend his poor business practices is not the answer.

This guy went over to another forum and posted in Tony's sponsor forum. Randall and Tony have both seen it and Randall has read this thread. They are aware of the issue and Tony said in this guys thread on PSA that the issue should be resolved.

I can't speak for Tony or Randall, but that's what I read on the other forum..

I think he saw your thread, then saw my message with your info afterwards b/c when I got a message back from him he told me you had already posted on PSA also. Probably didn't recognize your screen name or something and didn't know you were the same person.

This is going to sound cold hearted, but it completely isn't.

Tony has good tunes.
But IIRC, it's Tony's side job as well.

But, per example.
I have a customer I do some graphics work for who sells products, this business pays his bills and takes care of his family, and its not his main job either. He also sheers sheep like me.
His son just went though a bone marrow transplant a few states away and is still recovering, but never stopped taking care of customers and filling their orders. The only thing he stopped doing was shearing.
When you provide a service that people pay for, or pay well for (tony's tunes are not that cheap) you cannot just drop your business off. That's life.
If tuning is just a passion and a hobby of his, I can understand this completely. And, if that is the case, he should close until further notice to take care of his family.
I know Tony was very active before hand with tuning and posting in forums and such, so until he can provide his normal customer service, he really should just put a delay on his business if he cannot juggle the business and family issues.

Like I said, that was gonna sound cold hearted.
But I have a friend who just went though a similar situation and he never stopped his business or slacked on customer replies and call backs. He'd be gone 2 to 3 days at most.
Gotta find that happy medium if you want to keep your business.
If he wants to keep his customers, then he probably should just shut down till things are resolved. That way guys don't end up like Glenn here with ignored issues and poor burns.

Bad burns can result in windowed blocks or other damaged components, such as transmissions and such.

I like my PHP tunes and all, but if I was to choose somebody besides Tony, I would go with Jody.
PHP will never return your emails or phone calls. The tunes are good for auto's, but not as great for 5 speeds. I've emailed to try and help them zero out the issues, and get no replies. I've called to ask questions, and they don't call back.

No matter how understanding a person is, or how compassionate they are, when they deal with a business, they want their **** done and taken care of, no matter what that persons personal life is doing. It's just a fact of life.

Man... after just READING all of that I feel like I need a beer!

And I hope everything gets better for Tony, his family, and his customers! Well if the first two get better the third is bound to get better
