1995 f150 5.0 4wd auto trans. Truck doesn't start, not getting spark, only code in the computer is code 659,"high vehicle speed in park indication". Huh? the truck hasn't move in 4 months,so is this a bs code, and if not, what does it mean? I don't think this code means anything related to my no spark condition, but just want to be sure before I do a bunch of troubleshooting and buying parts.
Never ran across that code before. In my opinion that is a B/S code that has nothing to do with your no spark condition. FWIW that code is not listed in my Ford Truck EVTM manual.
yeah,I couldn't find it here when I searched, but it did come up in my code reader, and it is in the book of codes,so I thought I would see if anyone had heard of it.
If it is a code from when the truck was driving my guess would be a bad Transmission Range Sensor.
If it is a new code then my guess would be a bad PCM.
But only guesses.
Key off.
Connect TR sensor.
Breakout box installed, PCM disconnected.
Unlock steering column.
Measure resistance between Test Pin 30 and Test Pin 46 at the breakout box in each gear selector position. Refer to the TR sensor resistance specification table below:
Is each resistance within specification?
Yes
REPLACE the PCM. REMOVE the breakout box. RERUN «Quick Test».
No
REPLACE TR sensor. REMOVE breakout box. RERUN «Quick Test».
Circuit 659 ?I would think module down .clutch interlock switch.just food for thought
Fault code 659 not electrical circuit number. The truck in this 10 year old thread had an automatic transmission. Not checking the last post date sometimes get people bringing up old threads. Welcome to the forum.
