DP Tuner Hard Shift???

Hey Guys,
Just installed the DP-Tuner and Gauge set-up and noticed the Trans shifting really hard in 80 Econo Mode. Feels smooth and has scary power up to the shift point, then power is "lost" and it slams into the next gear and you get thrown into the backrest again. Really happy, so far with the power gains, but I have yet to test it while towing my 5'er. I am just concerned this is going to wreck the trans... Any Thoughts?

What does it shift like in the other tunes? In any case I'd call DP and ask them.

Wasn't able to take that long of a drive, and frankly, I was worried i was going to damage trhe Trans if I continued to drive in that mode. I will contact Jody and see what he says.
Thanks Pete

Sounds like Jody needs to tweak your shift points or line pressures. Do you have a Banks TransCommand installed by chance?

Chase, I do not have any banks equip installed... Yea, the shift points may be the issue, hope it can be a quick fix. I have a huge camping trip coming up in a few weeks...

Talked with Jody this morning and explained the issues. He says that it definitly sounds like there is a shift kit installed. I am going to have to send the chip back for a re-burn (pay shipping only ). Is there a way to physically see if there is a Valve Body or Shift Kit installed? Any markings etc. or is everything internal to the Trans?

BTW, Have to mention the Great Customer Service received from Diane & Jody, they were emailing back and forth until at least 9PM EST. Big Thanks to DP for the quick response!!!
Thanks

Also...
I got a CEL come on when I was hitting the throttle pretty hard this morning coming into work, Immediatly lost power and had to switch back to Stock Tune to make it driveable/normal. Jody mentioned needing a MAP Sensor Bypass (I think thats what he called it) because the computer saw over 25lb of boost and shut off fuel flow. Anyone have a PN and where I can get one of these? Jody mentioned he has one for the Sooper Doody but doesn't think the bracket will work with the location of our Sensor. Also mentioned price of approx $59; just curious what anyone else has paid.
Thanks,

I don't know of any way to tell visually if there is a shift kit installed, unless it was a Transgo kit which uses a thin plate between the main valve body and the trans. Requires pulling the pan to find out...
I wouldn't worry too much about the overboost annihilator until you figure out if that is actually what the issue was or not. Can you pull the code?

The code dissappears after sitting overnight, and I don't have easy access to a puller. I will have to wait until I have access to a reader (that will work for our trucks) and check. But... Jody was certain it was from over boost, is there a reason to disagree? Just asking and no offense...

Nope, he's probably right but it could be an ICP above/below desired as well.
Seems like the boost fooler is more of an SD thing, you don't see near as many OBS trucks with them as you do SD's but it can't hurt to have.

I would bet it is what chase said. My guess is you ran out of oil.

Chase/Darin,
Is the Code the only way to tell... or will the code show ICP issues is another way to put it.
What are the reprucussions of having this issue? Is this an HPOP issue (not big enough to push the oil needed) or something else? Engine failure, low power (kind of limp mode???). Also, does it make sense that the code would throw while in the tune, and would lose power, but if I switch back to the stock selction the issue goes away but the CEL is still on? Tried swapping back to the 80E and even the Tow Tunes and there is just no power. but runs normal in the performance tunes...

It's an HPOP issue, not going to hurt anything. Only way to tell for sure is to get the code read, chase and I are saying it's probably P1211. As soon as you shut the key off and start it back up all is normal, right?

need to go check, but it cleared overnight last night so i would assume that is true. Great that it won't hurt anything, but how do I stop it from happening? I would hate to have it happen while pulling a hill or something

also noticed coming in this morning that my Pyro gauge stopped working, hopefully it is just a loose connector and not something worse!
