I suppose it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I'm not the guy that will give him much, because although it does seem to be a very solid truck and a great project, a '54 one ton ain't my thing. I would think max might be half what he's asking, but that's just my thoughts, right or wrong.
I think the wheels are w/m's, but Stu or someone else here would know more definitively.
O/T -- I was riding my bike up in the mountains and came to a small town that had a Chevy AD fire truck, clearly used as a parade vehicle. It had 6 flat tires and every wheel was a W/M. I need to send them a note about it, no one around at the volunteer fire dept. That could be a disaster when they go to pump them up for a parade....
By looking at the spare tire I would say they're WMs. You can see the band on the inside of the wheel. The back wheel there is no indication of a lock ring. Stu should be by in a short time to verify:
Yup, no question, widow makers. Otherwise a real nice truck for half the money. There was a guy at the Knoxville show a few years ago with one just like it, only all black, looking to get $4000 or a little more IIRC and wasn't having any luck. It too was nicely re-done, but like said above, the market just isn't there for these bigger trucks. Stu
Personal opinion, we're special. A truck should be a truck, and all the better if it's genuine and unique. But the market decides value and mine is not majority opinion. Bigger trucks just don't attact the dollars. That said, they do attact a crowd at the shows. I expect to see a lot of them this week at the ATHS show up in South Bend. That group is more oriented towards the big guys. Stu

Stu, are you a member of ATHS? I wish I was able to make that show, but my fund$ just don't allow it at this time. I will be doing at least 3 ATHS shows this year.

Yeah, I'm a member. Since the national show is this close I thought it'd be a good one to go to. Like you I've been to the small local shows, but never to one of the nationals.
Ken - looks like there's a Vancouver Island chapter. That'd be near you, am I right? Stu

I am interested in the truck. I would like to have a dump bed sometime and that aftermarket pickup bed is cool. But, I would not want to pay more than $3000. Look at other F-350's on ebay and elsewhere. Heck, even F-100's don;t bring $10,000. Now with Widow makers, to boot, He would have to come way down. I don't think this guy has a good grip on the old truck market...
What wheels could replace those and still look good and could those same tires, if in good shape be used?
Someone could use those centers and put them into some 17" lock ring bands or maybe even drop center bands. Or you could get 17.5" tubeless wheels and new radials.
