Heater won't shut off completely!

Hey guys! I have searched and can't find what I am looking for. I know I read about someone having this problem. Have found that when I turn on just the vent that the air is hot. I know in the past that this hasn't happened. Just concerned that the heater isn't shutting off completely. How can I test this? Want to make sure the heat isn't on when the air conditioner is on. Need to fix this before it gets hot here. Thanks all, John

If you run the fan full speed, drive 55mph, does it cool off any? Mine builds up heat in city traffic and feels like the heat is on. Not super hot, just warm air. Handy in the winter, not so nice in the summer!

Also, might be ta stuck heater valve on the passenger side near the PCV.
