Just found this thread, cause my include wanted me to do a search on Pops for him. He is having problems with him evidently. Guess I will go and give him the bad news.

I just stumbled on this thread. I ordered some heads for my 390 build from pops and I got them after a month or so but the bad thing was the head to block mating surface on these heads was not machined smooth, it had .040-.060 ridges from whatever 'machining' he did. These heads came fully assembled and supposedly ready to install with the oversize stainless valves etc...but i had to tear em down and have em machined properly no way the head gasket would have sealed....
