i now have a bad rumble seems to be coming from center or rear of car.
it is really noticeable when to start out and putting gas to it to get up to speed. when you let up it seems to stop.
i checked center bearing and u-joints all seem to be tight. but i still think it is the center bearing but can not find anyone who sells them but ford and they have to order it at a great cost.
does anyone have any ideas on what this is before i order bearing?
i am at lost.
but i forgot to state it is an automatic.
and it seems that trans fluid is same as transfer and evberything is full and dont smell or see anything burnt.
Transmission uses atf mercon and the t-case uses gear oil. They are 2 seperate units. T-case bolts to the trans. There will be a fill and drain plug on the side of the transfer case.
As for the center carrier bearing I have seen them for around $80 but you will have to have the drive shafts rebalanced after installing it.
