My 95 F-250 seems to a mind of it's own. Some time the cruise control works and sometimes it doesn't. I guess I will check it out for electrical problems. Also I have had the steering column and the tilt wheel fixed twice now.

GOT IT. Its the simple stuff I need. nebechanezer comes through again. Thanks man. Got the truck over 30 and it works! Its all wired right (cruize by luck). Everything electrically is officially now working. Actually (knock on wood) everything on the truck is working how it should.

Build Data: 10/94 Canadian built

In case someone else runs into this wierd shi! here is the wire colors. Hard to tell from the photo.

Disregard my color wires, I used them to test it all, I still need to wire it up more properly. Starting from the steering column light grey square plug to the black rectangle plug on the factory harness:

Yellow wire goes to dark blue wire - Horn
Dark Blue/Black wire goes to Light Blue/Black wire - Cruise
Passenger side Black goes to Green/Orange wire - ground.
Driver side Black goes to black/white wire - Key in Chime.

Not sure how the count 4 cruise buttons from the steering wheel are controlled from one or two wires but it does.

The cruise works with 2 wires, one goes to the set/accel and the other goes to resume/dec. The wires get 12v from the horn circuit, and return different ohms depending on which button you push to tell the cruise what to do. Thats how i understand it anyway, I could be wrong.

No problem, i've been lurking on this site for years, learning a lot, its nice to finally contribute.

Look what i found- https://i.imgur.com/bjUEV.jpg

I was going to fix my column bearings a few months ago, my buddy told me to take the column out of the parts truck he had in his yard, so i just swapped them. His was a '92 F-150, mine is a '95 F-350. I had to switch the plug from my column to the donor column. I wish i had remembered this earlier, would have been easier for you! If you like, i could send you this plug from the '92 , i'll never need it. You could just switch the wires so you dont have to hack yours apart, if you havent yet.

Well I'll be, thats the same plug. Is that from the 92? Sure makes me wonder why my column was switched out though...There are no signs of a wreck.

I sure appreciate the offer, but I think I'll try to fin a way to make a new plug. I've got lots of stuff laying around here. I'll prob use a computer 4 wire male/female plug. BTW cruize works great and is nice to have on the freeway stretches.

Yours was probably switched out for the same reason i switched mine, bearing were shot. Pretty common i guess.

hey guys!
iv got no ground coming out of that clip down low thats shown.any idea's?
everything i have at the clip,i also have up at the horn/cruise buttons.
no cruise,no horn.
i put a ground jumper on the copper switch bracket and got a horn this way,but still no cruise still going down the road at any speed.
what goes bad further up the line that brakes ground, and if bypassed via a jumper ground, only results in a horn and not cruise?

hmm.i think i need to search "cruise servo testing" now.
wrong thread again i think boys lol.i figure this out.........hopefully.

i can't find what i need.
