OK, I have searched the forums and searched for a tru-cool or 6.0 and came up with putting in a new tru-cool along with my original cooler and feel comfortable with that set up as being good enough to keep my temps low from what I've read. It seems the 6.0 is the best, but can't find one in my tight price range right now.
My question is where can I find one that comes completely set up for my application as far as fittings and hoses and such? I see some on EBAY for around $130, but am not sure if this is what I need turn key per se? Does someone sell what i'm looking for? Anyone with recent experiences of this purchase with input or links would be appreciated.
Also, i'm FAR from a mechanic and a little nervous installing it. I see a lot of people saying it'e easy, a 2 beer job. Are these mechanics talking or is this for a guy that can barely do disc brakes? I'm 2 months into my first Diesel and want to make it last for a long time and feel this is a good step. Does anyone know of a video or GOOD pics on installing this so I don't end up screwing it up or dumping gallons of fluid in my driveway?
It really is a pretty easy install if the instructions are included. Believe when I did mine a few years back there was a extra kit for the superduty trucks that I ordered with the tru-cool
I just put on the Derale from RiffRaff. It worked out perfect! Left on the stock one, took off the line leaving the stock cooler put it on the new cooler. Then took the 4 foot hose they gave you and hooked it up to the return line to the tranny where the line from the stock cooler used to be. Attached it in front of the condenser and added some merc v good to go.
Just have to take off the grill, the mat over the radiator (the one you put your tools on haha) then loosened up the condensor enough to fit my hands in. Maybe took me 1 hour but I am slow.
Haven't really driven it as I just finished, but Holla at Clay from REiffRaff and he will hook you up!

Yeah, I don't see one with the S.D. kit? A lot of the old threads showed this from I believe dieselstop or something. I've been searching, I just want one geared up turn key for my rig, and cheap!
