shut down-wont start PLEASE HELP!

If the batteries are good, I wonder if the starter is FUBAR. I had the same problem with my car and it turned out to be the weak starter. Cold it was ok, hot it won't work well and then it just wouldn't work well altogether. If that is ok, maybe a shop needs to do a test of how much current is drawn when it attempts to start, Maybe the battery cable is bad?
